Does my policy cover non-regular or temporary drivers?

If you have an individual that does not reside in your household and is not a regular driver of your vehicle, they will be covered under your policy contract. Please note that if an unlisted driver is driving your car at the time of a claim, you will be subject to an unlisted driver excess of $850 in addition to your standard excess.

If you choose to add this driver to your policy, the unlisted driver excess would not apply. It’s important to note that any household member or person considered a regular driver must be listed on your policy for cover benefits. If that person is not listed, he or she will not be covered at the time of a loss.
