How do I get set up with Progressive?

It's easy to switch to Progressive. Additionally, it’s easy to set a start date, and cancel an existing policy with your current insurer. It’s important to know that you are entitled to a refund of any unexpired premium when you cancel a car insurance policy.

First, start by getting a quote with us for up to 5 cars on one policy. If you're happy with the price, set the date you want start (up to 65 days in advance) and buy the policy. If the date coincides with the end of your existing car insurance policy, do nothing. If it's before the expiry of your existing policy, simply contact your current insurer to notify them you wish to cancel on the day your Progressive policy begins. By law they are required to refund you any amount of unexpired premium, based on days remaining in the policy, subject to any modest cancel fees they have disclosed.
