Sea Horse Diamond Beach, Diamond Beach
Sea Horse Diamond Beach on the mid north coast is big on pet accommodation. In fact, a reviewer on their website describes them as ‘the ‘Unicorn’ of dog friendly holiday accommodation.
Sounds good to us.
They offer luxury accommodation with dog friendly beaches, a spacious fenced yard and gardens.
They allow up to three dogs per stay, and even have a Doggy Day Pen for when you need to go out, which includes a large comfortable dog house, raised sleeping platform and trampoline beds.
Before you head there all tails wagging, be sure to read our guide: ‘How to keep your dog safe at the beach’.
Pet friendly cabin
Enjoy a breakaway right on the water’s edge of the stunning Lake Illawarra on the south coast. Lakeside Inn has a variety of room options, with their Lakeside Cabins open to pets. Pets are allowed on request, so remember to make an inquiry; charges may apply.
Nearby you’ll find sites of interest like the Nan Tien Temple, Historical Aircraft Restoration Society Museum, Wollongong Golf Club, Shellharbour City Stadium and WIN Stadium.
Beaches close by include Windang Beach, Port Kembla Beach and Warilla Beach. Take your pet along on one of their walking tours, or to go fishing. No wonder they call it a dog’s life.
Pet friendly hotel
At Mantra they say there is ‘room for everyone’ – and your pet is on that list, too.
Mantra Wollongong offers modern, luxury accommodation in the heart of the city’s business district and moments from the coastline. You can choose between their large one and two-bedroom apartments, some of them with partial ocean views.
Enjoy the area’s mild coastal climate, as well as their active arts scene and numerous swimming and surfing beaches. The hotel offers friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms.

The holiday home has recently been built with all modern amenities and has one bedroom, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a microwave, a washing machine, and a bathroom with a shower.
