PD and Dogs Victoria have signed an exciting partnership agreement. The partnership, which commenced on 01 January 2025, will help more Victorian puppies and dogs access the safety net of pet insurance.

Dogs Victoria is the peak body representing purebred dogs and dog sports within Victoria. The organisation’s driving mission is to promote ethical and sustainable breeding and preservation of purebred dogs, maintaining the integrity of the pedigree registry.
Dogs Victoria is involved in the advancement of all ethical dog sports, activities and training as well as education and advocacy for their members and the broader canine community.
PD Insurance
PD Insurance is passionate about enabling a soft insurance landing for pets and their owners. How? By providing access to a range of quality pet insurance plans that enable pet parents’ choice and flexibility. PD’s insurance plans, together with a fast and easy claims process and a dedicated customer service team, are designed to ease concerns around unexpected vet bills.

PD and Dogs Victoria join forces
Together, PD and Dogs Victoria will be launching several initiatives, one of which will enable Dogs Victoria breeders to offer new puppy parents a period of FREE Starter Cover*. This helps protect pups during the important transition period into their new fur-ever home, helping new owners experience fewer worries during this important phase.
This will be made possible through a Breeder Referral Program, exclusive to Dogs Victoria Breeders, the details of which will be announced in the coming months.
PD will also collaborate with Dogs Victoria to explore ways to create additional value to existing Dogs Victoria memberships.
Educational content to help raise awareness and understanding of the importance of ethical breeding, responsible pet ownership and pet wellness are key pillars of this partnership. This will be accessible through various channels, including the Dogs Victoria magazine, gazette and social media. Furthermore, PD Insurance will join Dogs Victoria at key events, to position the Breeder Referral Program and the role and importance of pet insurance in the pet-wellness ecosystem.
